Training

 

• The BCRCAT resolved to establish a training fund for the industry that will be linked to the skills development initiatives of the Tourism, Hospitality, Sports and Education Training Authority (THETA) and the National Skills Fund (NSF). The BCRCAT will update the sector about developments in implementing this resolution.
  
  
• The Tourism, Hospitality, Sports and Education Training Authority (THETA) currently run training projects to capacitate small employers and employees in the sector. The BCRCAT supports training projects such as these.
  
  
• Employers are encouraged to register with THETA, in order to access training grants which are aplicable to those who have Workplace based Skills Plans (WSP) For more information see THETA website - www.theta.org.za
